Resource Pack for Teachers, Youth and Community Workers
A resource pack for teachers, youth and community workers to accompany the report has also been created by NICCY which would have relevance to CRED.
The resource pack provides information and step by step guidance to enable teachers/youth leaders/community workers to facilitate workshops on key issues on children's rights including:
- What is the United Nations and how it affects children's rights
- The work of the Children's Commissioner
- The UN Reporting Process
- Participation and Children's Rights
- Disability and Children's Rights
- Disability and Children's Rights
- Poverty and Children's Rights
- Youth Justice and Children's Rights
- Asylum and Children's Rights
- How to go about campaigning
Each workshop is linked to the primary, secondary and youth work curriculums, and can be used as action learning projects for GCSE.
