Exploring Diversity - Facilitating Community Relations Work

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the skill, knowledge and confidence to facilitate cross-community work with diverse groups.

Understand and practice facilitation skills necessary for community relations work
Have knowledge of history since the Act of Union in 1801
Design a programme for respective age groups
Have an awareness of how to develop an Anit-Sectarian Police
Be able to differentiate bewteen prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, racism and sectarianism
Understand demographic changes in Northern Ireland
Candidates will devise, facilitate and evaluate a community relations programme
Understand the concept of citizenship

60 hours teaching, 60 hours home study
